| Bikes on Trains
You can take your bike on most local trains, except during the rush hour. For longer distance trains such as intercity trains, advance booking is necessary to keep your bike in a safe place during your journey. The fee varies from £1 to £5 per trip. Contact your local train station for details. On the underground you can take a bike on the surface lines and shallow tunnel lines, provided it is not during the rush hour. You cannot take your bike on the deep tunnel sections of any tube. |
