Cycling Code and Road Traffic
Cycling Code Keep your bike roadworthy.
Cycling Code Always follow the Highway Code.
Cycling Code Only cycle on the carriageway or where cycling is permitted.
Cycling Code Obey traffic and cycle signs.
Cycling Code Do not ride on pavements and do not ride across pedestrian crossings when pedestrians are crossing.

Under the Road Traffic Act, you can be booked and given a fixed penalty fine by the Police if you are caught riding:-
Cycling Code On the footway.
Cycling Code The wrong way, opposite direction of a one way street.
Cycling Code Through a RED traffic light.
Cycling Code Recklessly, dangerously, unsafely or inconsiderately.
Cycling Code Whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
